Michael O’Quinn is currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer for Texas A&M University. His prior position was Senior Advisor and Special Assistant to the President.

For nearly 20 years, O'Quinn served as Vice President for Government Relations at Texas A&M University. In this role, Mr. O'Quinn was responsible for development, coordination, and execution of government-related activities with state and federal entities. He was Texas A&M's liaison with elected state officials, members of Congress and national associations seeking to support the goals of Texas A&M and advance higher education. He held various leadership roles at the Association of American Universities and Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.

O'Quinn has served in various roles during his 35-year career with the Texas A&M University System, including vice president for institutional and federal affairs, assistant vice chancellor for state and public affairs, and assistant to the chancellor.

Prior to his service at Texas A&M, he held various staff positions for U. S. Senator Phil Gramm.

O'Quinn received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and a Master of Public Administration degree, both from Texas A&M University.
